Ten to Start March 2014!

Polar Bear from Russia (RU-2423066)

Wonderful card from Kiev, Ukraine (UA-881073)  This is Kozak, Ukrainian national hero-warrior.  If Kozak sings his soul is crying.  The stamp is fabulous and takes up over half of the card - it depicts Vlodimir Monomakh, Grand Prince of Kiev in 1113.

In the middle of all the upheaval and political craziness involving Ukraine and Russia right now, I was very happy to see this card arrive.  Honestly, I hadn't seen a card from the Ukraine in quite a while when before I used to get them quite often.  I was worried, and I still pray for all this to end peacefully.  *sigh*

From Germany (DE-2907551) - Tiger and Turtle is a huge roller coaster you walk through rather than ride.  I would be terrified!

From Taiwan...

A postcard showing the rock band Good Charlotte, from Turkey (TR-172829)

Kitty cat from Germany (DE-2936360)  So cute!  I received 6 cards in the mail today and 4 of them were from Germany!  Wow.  I'm not complaining, I'm German and would love to visit there someday.  I thought it was weird.

From Germany (DE-2944978)  "Wanderer Over the Fog Sea" by Caspar David Friedrich (1818)

Direct Swap from the Philippines - love this!  Mt. Makiling is a dormant volcano in Laguna province in the island of Luzon.

Direct Swap from Indonesia - soooo beautiful!!

And a sweet bear from Germany (DE-2939020)

DE-1154350  from Germany, a card of Dubai, United Arab Emirates... wow - this place is just WOW.  It defines the word "excess", in my humble opinion...

Lucky Seven on July 5, 2011

I can't believe I received so many today!  Yay!

UA-113411 (Ukraine)...

The memorial to John Lennon...

PH-26477 from Palawan, Philippines... Coco-Loco Island, Roxas / Big Lagoon of Miniloc Island, El Nido / Coron Bay / Calauit, the African animals island / Hot spring, Busuanga / Jeepney, means of transportation in Palawan / Cadlao Beach, El Nido / Underground River, Sabang / Batak Tribe

CN-365559 (China)  Porcelain dish with white floral and fruit sprays on cobalt-blue ground, Wanli Reign, Ming Dynasty from the Palace Museum collection...

Super cute polar bear amidst the fireweed from Canada (CA-173132)  I love him!  He looks like a big stuffed animal doll!  "Wapusk" the Cree name for the great white bear...

BR-157636... Litoral Norte - Bahia - Brasil, Beach of Arembepe
The name "Arembepe" comes from the native language Tupi-Guarani andit means "something that involves" us or enchants us.  Beautiful!
I always wonder why we spell it "Brazil" with a 'z' when Brazilians use "Brasil" with an 's'.  To spell it "Brasil" would be perfectly acceptable to me.  It's a mystery.

US-1188391 from Scranton, Pennsylvania...

Four for June 15th!

I'm back in business!  I mean I haven't received official cards or really much of anything in the mail box in a LONG time!  I had taken a little time off from sending for a while.  You know how it goes - you don't receive cards unless you send cards!  Just was tired and needed a break.  Then I sent a bunch and so today I received 3 officials and the meetup card I sent to myself!

I sent this to myself from the Meetup last Saturday so those are my stamps.  There are a bunch of signatures on it too but I'm not sure those folks would appreciate my publicizing their names without asking and I'm sure too lazy to ask!  LOL!

RU-436191 sent from St. Petersburg - what a cute little guy!

Cool vintage-like card from the Philipines...

NL-673998 from the Netherlands - CUTE!

TTFN!
