End of April 2020

Holy Toledo I made it to the end of April.  Time is dragging on here in quarantine.
What day is it again?
I received cards this week!  One day it will be none and the next day it will be many.  The mail service is very unpredictable these days, understandably so.

From Michigan, adorableness...

From Illinois...

Super sad card from Austria -- a Postcrossing meetup that was canceled due to the coronavirus.  :(

From South Carolina...

From Germany... Brauweiler Abbey, located near Cologne.  Founded in 1024.

Harry Potter from Germany...

Cuteness from Kuopio, Finland...

Relaxation from Finland...

Love from Massachusetts, USA...

Game of Thrones from Great Britain...

Game of Thrones from China!  This is the first card I've received from China in many months.  It is a hopeful sign that this whole thing will indeed get better and pass!

April 2020 Week 3

Week 943,992,232 in quarantine.  :(

Well, maybe not that bad, but it feels like it.

I received a lot more cards this week, so that's amazing anyway!!

This card represents how the world is feeling right now half the time.  The stress can be great but somehow we will leap over the Grim Reaper and prevail!  This is a card done by a local cartoonist in Bielefeld, Germany...

Lovely Pelicans from Florida.  This is a card someone sent from my favorites wall on Postcrossing!

This is an oddie sent from California, a direct swap... I really dig that eye makeup!

This is the 1672nd Postcrossing card sent from Guam!  Lovely.

What pipes!  This is a card showing the organ pipes in the Trier Cathedral, possibly Germany's oldest Christian church.  Areas of the church date back to the 3rd and 4th century.  Amazing!  I would just love to hear it play!

A photo postcard taken by the sender of a lovely beach in northern Germany - unfortunately it looks like rain!  I love it anyway!

A postcard photo taken by the sender of the Olympic Area in Munich, Germany, where they celebrated the Olympics in the 1970s.  Now it is used as a recreational and cultural center.

Germany...
