Five Goodies Today!

My mailbox was happy today x5!

First, a beautiful one from Germany, the Lintorf part of the town of Ratingen...

Beautiful Mt. Fuji in Japan (JP-359686)... pretty cool stamps both hand stamp and postal stamps!

This is from the Upper Peninsula in Michigan along Lake Superior.  It is infinitely beautiful there but right now frigidly cold!

The Monastery of St. Naum, 10th-16th century... Belgium (BE-189272)
Stamp commemorating the Battle of the Bulge.

US-2051620... I saw the Sanibel Island Light personally last year when we vacationed down in Florida for a week.

Bears from Germany

I squealed when I saw this card today in my mailbox!  I kind of like bears a little bit, you see.  They are so cute!  And ferocious too.  :o)  Postcard ID:  DE-1880620
See the writing for translation.  I never scan the writing from the postcard but this is just what I would have typed out so I see no harm.  Nothing personal is said, of course.  I love this card!

Six More for January!

Whew!  I received FIVE cards yesterday and one today!!  Woohoo!  I am happily surprised this frigid cold winter day.  :o)

The first one I received is from the Detroit, Michigan area.  (US-2047761)  It's one of those jokey joke ones.  I have to admit it.  Even though I am really not picky at all, I really don't like these kind of cards.  They are the kind you see in every postcard rack and kind of dopey.  I have a few of these in my Send box but I never send them out.  LOL!  Why the hell did I buy them then?  Oh well.  I am happy and thankful for the time and care of every Postcrosser who stops to put a stamp on a card to me.  I still feel special to receive the cards in my mailbox!

Cute doggy from the Netherlands!  (NL-1642861)  It looks like he's saying that line from the Pixar movie 'UP' -- "I have just met you and I LOVE you!"  :o)

Sweet polar bears sent from Las Vegas, Nevada.  (US-2047678)

Really, really cool building located in Hamm, Germany.  (DE-1879094)  The Glass Elephant in Maximilian Park. HERE is a link to it.

Cool card from China (CN-820931)

And this is the one I received today and I adore it!  I just took the kids to the zoo last Saturday and we saw the tigers playing around and making that barking noise they make.  They were beautiful!  Received from Russia.  (RU-1460311)  Cool stamps too!

Chicago River

I'm sending out cards everyday but it's been slow receiving so far.  I can't wait to start getting bombarded by them!!  Sooooon!  I received this one today from Illinois by way of a direct swap.  I love those USA movie director stamps.  I have those to send out too.  That's John Huston, director of The Maltese Falcon.

First Card of 2013!

I took most of 2012 off Postcrossing and postcard swapping.  I really missed it, but my heart just wasn't in it.  :o(  Well it is now!!  I'm Postcrossing like mad now!

Here is the first card I've received this year.  It's from a German woman who lives in Ohio now so it's of Dusseldorf, Germany via Ohio... US-2035231... received today.  I really love its multiview design, like a seamless collage.  It's more artistic than the boxy boxes.  Blagh.
