Received December 11-12, 2011 Ryman and Atget

Private swap from Seattle, Washington yesterday... "Versailes" by Eugene Atget (1904).  It's a photo of a photo of a sculpture!  Printing-out paper, gold toned at the Cleveland Museum of Art...

The next two cards I received today from Nashville, Tennessee in private swap.  First, the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.  A recent $8 million restoration has returned the Ryman back to its original beauty.  Built in the mid 1800s, it is now a Music city showplace...

Here are two friends and legends of country music and the Ryman... Minnie Pearl and Roy Acuff on stage at the Grand Ole Opry which was held at the Ryman until the 70s.  While Roy Acuff is a famous country singer, Minnie Pearl is just a famous country character.  I read about her and she had a fascinating life and career.  Everyone who knew her and of her loved her.  I know I did!  We watched her every week on the TV show 'Hee-Haw'!

Have fun!
